Glossary

tip

The words that come up across these docs, defined once. If a page uses a term you don't recognise, it's here.

Bonding curve

The market a token trades on before it graduates. The price comes from a formula rather than an order book: every buy pushes it up, every sell pushes it down, and there's always someone to trade with. See How It Works.

Bonding progress

How full a token's curve is, from 0% at launch to 100% at graduation. Shown as a bar on the token's page, with the ETH still needed to graduate.

Bumping bot

A paid run of small buys against your own token, spaced over a window you choose, so it keeps resurfacing in the activity-sorted feeds. Not live yet - see Bumping Bot.

Community fee share

The portion of a token's post-graduation fee income that goes to its staking vault - meaning to the people staking it - rather than to the creator. Chosen by the creator at launch and permanent.

Cooldown

The waiting period between asking to withdraw from a staking vault and being able to collect. Currently one day.

Creator

The wallet that launched a token. Creators earn from their token's trading for as long as it trades.

Dynamic fee

The swap fee on a graduated token, which changes with market conditions instead of staying flat - 0.30% when calm, up to 1.20% during violent moves. See Dynamic Fees.

ETH

The currency everything on Frontier is priced in, and the gas token of Robinhood Chain.

Fee recipient

The address a creator's earnings are sent to. Set at launch, and can be handed on later by whoever currently holds it.

Graduation

The moment a token's curve sells out and it moves to a Uniswap V4 pool with permanently locked liquidity - all in a single transaction. Also called bonding.

Highlight

A paid, time-limited promotional slot on the Frontier front page. One token at a time. Not live yet - see Highlights.

Holders

The number of wallets holding a token. Listed largest-first on the token's page.

Initial buy

A creator buying their own token inside the launch transaction, before anyone else can - also called a pre-buy. Capped at 15% of supply, with a hard 25% ceiling.

Liquidity

The pot of ETH and tokens that a Uniswap pool trades against. Deeper liquidity means the price moves less for the same trade size. On Frontier a graduated token's liquidity is locked forever.

Locked liquidity

Liquidity that nobody can withdraw - not the creator, not the protocol team. On Frontier this isn't a promise, it's a missing function: the contract holding it has no way to take it out. Only the fees it earns can be collected.

Market cap

A token's price multiplied by its total supply. A quick measure of size, not of how much money is actually behind it - that's the liquidity.

Points

A score attached to your wallet that rises with your activity on Frontier. Not live yet - see Points.

POL

Protocol-owned liquidity - the position seeded when a token graduated, held by the protocol and locked forever. POL LP fees are what that position earns from swaps, and they're split 75% to the creator, 25% to the protocol. Liquidity that someone else adds to the pool is not POL: those fees stay with whoever provided it.

Pool

Where a token trades after graduation: a Uniswap V4 pool pairing it with ETH.

Referral

A link that permanently connects a trader to whoever brought them in. The referrer earns a slice of the fees on that trader's trades - the trader pays no more. See Referrals.

Reserve

The ETH held by a token's bonding curve. After graduation the same figure is labelled raised - the total the token collected before moving to Uniswap.

Robinhood Chain

The network Frontier runs on. Chain ID 4663, gas paid in ETH.

Slippage

How far the price is allowed to move between pressing the button and the transaction landing. Too tight and the trade cancels; too loose and you may fill far from the quote.

Staked token

The receipt you get for staking. Staking MOON gives you stMOON, which grows in value as fees arrive and is what you hand back when you leave.

Staking vault

An optional vault attached to a token where holders stake and earn a share of its trading fees, in the token and in ETH. See Staking Vaults.

Supply

The total number of tokens that will ever exist. Identical for every Frontier token: 1 billion, of which 700 million sell through the curve and 300 million become the token's Uniswap liquidity.

Vesting

Locking an allocation of tokens onchain so it releases gradually over time instead of all at once. See Vesting.

Virtual reserve

Bookkeeping ETH the curve is seeded with so the very first buy has a sensible price rather than a price near zero. It can never be withdrawn by anyone.

WETH

"Wrapped ETH" - ETH in the form of a standard token. Some payouts arrive as WETH because it can never fail to be delivered; it's worth exactly the same as ETH and unwraps one-for-one.
